The Westfield Cooperative Nursery School is a non-denominational preschool located in the McCorrison Center for Education at the First Congregational Church of Westfield. Founded in 1969, the school provides a developmentally appropriate curriculum to pre-kindergarten children ages 2 years and 9 months to 5 years old. At The Westfield Cooperative Nursery School children discover and explore their world through:
  • social interaction
  • language, science and math development
  • music and art
  • movement education
  • exploring nature
Parental involvement is strongly encouraged and is the cornerstone of the Cooperative Philosophy. Each month, parents are encouraged to assist in their child's classroom. Parents experience their child's progress first hand by observing and participating in classroom activities. The Westfield Cooperative is the only nursery school in the area to provide this unique window to child development.
