Westfield Cooperative Scholarship Fund History
The Jean Kiray Memorial Scholarship Fund was established by the WCNS Board in 1989 to commemorate a founding member and teacher, Jean Kiray. She taught at the school for twenty-six years before her untimely death from cancer. Mrs. Kiray guided the school from its inception and helped advance its growth from a small school of approximately 20 children to a clientele of over 100. The scholarship fund commemorates her memory and dedication to all of the children at Westfield Cooperative Nursery School.
This fund was created to provide assistance to families, in the form of partial scholarships, that experience financial difficulty affording nursery school tuition. Without the scholarship fund, these children would not be able to enjoy the benefits of a nursery school education. Contributions may be made directly to the school. Parents wishing to apply for scholarship monies may contact the Director, Suzanne Pinto directly at 908-233-4501 or email to westfieldcoop@aol.com.
